16 September 2016 – A demonstration of the wireless control system developed in the SIRIUS project was performed during the last project meeting in Bucharest, Romania.

The demonstration shows the active vibration damping of a cantilever beam. Vibrations are measured by accelerometer sensors and sent wirelessly to the controller. The controller executes the algorithms in real-time. Vibration damping puts high demands on control loop performance: the control frequency is 1 kHz and the global time synchronization is 100 ns.
